After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude in Communications from the University of Kentucky, Dianne worked as a counselor at several community mental health centers in Ohio and Kentucky in the '70s and returned to graduate school in the '80s.

Dianne received her doctorate in Counseling at the University of Cincinnati, and her psychologist license from the State of Ohio, at which point she released her license as a professional clinical counselor which she had had since the license's inception in 1986.   A Soul's Companion, her private practice in Cincinnati, was opened in 1995.

In 1996, Dianne began offering "Making Conscious Choices", her entertaining workshop combining consciousness studies, spirituality, and science that's a user's manual for your mind.  Since then, she has taught thousands of people how to optimize their lives with immediately usable tools that contain NO secrets and many important guidelines.

In 2000, Dianne moved to Eugene, Oregon, where she wrote, volunteered, and worked for nonprofits prior to earning her license (C2035) as a professional counselor in 2007.  She is a member of Oregon Mental Health Associates, Inc.

"My counseling focus is different from most other therapists.

Because of my training with Jean Houston, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Joan Borysenko, and my current association with physicist Amit Goswami (from the movies, "What the Bleep Do We Know?", "The Dalai Lama Renaissance", and "The Quantum Activist"), I teach about, counsel and work on the deep level of conscious choice - that level where our consciousness actually works, and where we can learn to make better choices for ourselves.

Because of these teachers and many others, I have the understanding and tools, such as The Map of Emotional Recovery, to help folks make immediate and lasting transformations in their lives.

All too often, we don't realize that we have a choice, much less that we can use our choice, in so many relationship, career, education and emotional situations. Rather, we get mired down in old conditioning and habits that create huge problems and delays in our life's development.

My choice is to help people understand how the powerful process of "getting to choice" works, and to increase the number of options they can see and give to themselves. It's immensely satisfying to me to be able to help people with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, career and educational problems, and those who are in transition and overwhelmed with our current world.

My workshop, "Making Conscious Choices", teaches these concepts in an interactive and entertaining format, and is available to groups, businesses, organizations and individuals at their own locations or at my group training room in Eugene. It's a cutting edge blend of psychology, science and spirituality that's great for leaping out of the box and into your own life."

As Treasurer of the New Dream Family Childcare Center, which serves the Hispanic and Anglo communities in partnership, Dianne is actively involved in the search for social justice - life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - for all.

Dianne is currently writing online continuing education courses for CEUPlus, and makes ongoing contributions to other writing and media projects.
